Thanks for the information Knightsaber look forward to hearing more about a UK code soon.
Hi Gamecube The Nightfall Prevew in the UK Nov PC Gamer is a single page with 3 images, it briefly outlines the improvements made to the game. ie the hero system and has a basic description of the 2 new classes, rightfall isnt part of the review section. Had I not played the preview event the article would have interested me but told me little. Personally I loved the event and see great possibilities for both new classes. The Hero system also worked well. |

Much more in-depth article in the North American release of the magazine. Well worth the $10 for me, but it's only $10. I don't see the crisis in such a lavish expediture.

Yes, actually there was a long review on the American PC Gamer... in bold letters under one of the picture says
"It's better to push then to start off too timidly. That's not very exciting," says Daniel Dociu, ArenaNet's Art Director, describing his approach to designing the exciting new environs and creature sof Guild Wars Nightfall. One of the artists on his tream is holding up a piece of conecpt rat drawn by Dociu; its a tall, multi-linmbed monster that somewhat resmsebles a handful of grasshoppers stuffed inside a trench coat. Btw... Some of the pictures here are really amazing. Monsters such as Desolation Giant Yeti, Marganite Paragon, Bush Toad, Boarilla, Living Land Treenormous, Realm of Torment Mesmer, Vabbi Griffon One remrak I laugh about is "...But the most deadly of all is the Bush Toad, which makes a habit of staring up Dervish's skirts" (Btw, the BUsh Toad is looking up in the sky, thats why) Another article you guys may want to talk about is "...Pools of water and lush flora decorate the landscape as befits the opulent nature of Vabbi, the home of the wealthiest Elonians... At one point, however, you will return to Vabbi that is quit different. Nearly Consumed by evil, its immense towers-formerly pristine-have crumbled. The ksy has gone dark, the vegetation destroyed, and the earth cracked. Sounds like a Nightfall-Searing in Vabbi to me. I can't wait >< |

$10 for the magazine I agree its not much but the point is what do you get for your $10 and what else you could get.
In the Uk most computer magazines with cds or dvds sell for ??5-99 which is close to the US price. My gaming tends to circle around GW type games Flight sims and first person shooters. Over the years I have read many a review of rpg and flightsims where it becomes blindingly obvious that the reviewer is either 1 totally inexperienced in that style of game or 2 doesnt like that type of game. That's the reason I only buying a magazine when there is something in it I definitly want, in this case a review and demo of dark messiah which would prove very time consuming to download. As for what else I could get for $10 well how about an extra slot for gw, I have 7 and intend to get another, then I can have one for each character class. |
